Falling under the hallowed category of crazy Japanese gadgets only Japanese are likely to buy, pictured below is a pump powered bladder that works as a cooling cushion. The water cooled cushion works like an additional layer to any car seat and can presumably withstand the rigors of being sat on for an extended period. Not sure if it could replace a conked out airconditioner but if it keeps soaking wet arm pits at bay (from the severe heat) then it must be good.
