However a new adapter is currently on sale at the Photojojo website which enables you to use any DSLR lens from either Nikon or Canon with your iPhone.
The new adapter allows any DSLR lens to be attached to your iPhone, whether it be a Telephoto, wide angle, macro, or your fixed fifty lenses and then enables you custom control over the depth of field and manual focus.
The iPhone DSLR lens adapter even comes with two loopholes on each end of the case let you tie on a camera strap, so you can hang it around your neck just like your real DSLR.

Groundbreaking Bionic Glasses Restores Poor Eyesight
Recently a scientist claimed that immortality was within the grasp of modern science. But all the way in Oxford uni England, the fruits of indefinite perfectibility are being used for a more altruistic purpose—restoring sight to the blind, or at least visually impaired. A new set of ‘bionic’ glasses embedded with advanced technology could allow the visually impaired to perceive their surroundings and restore a little normalcy to their lives.
But since restoring sight to the blind remains the stuff of miracles, the scientists at the Department of Neurology are aiming for a more practical goal, which is to improve the vision of the elderly. Consider this the first step.
The key to creating this new type of glasses is using features that were originally developed for gaming and smartphones, especially cameras.
According to reporter Jonathan Wood:
The glasses have video cameras mounted at the corners to capture what the wearer is looking at, while a display of tiny lights embedded in the see-through lenses of the glasses feed back extra information about objects, people or obstacles in view.
Of course, with the hardware side at least covered, the major challenge now is how to create a viable gadget that’s also a functional engineering marvel. What this means the glasses must be able to perform their task without encumbering the wearer, i.e. not to become glorified goggles that would puzzle onlookers.
Like most things developed in laboratories, it might take a while before these bionic glasses are commercially available and until then, it’s time to start saving those pennies.
Atlantis Shuttle Crew Testing Drinkable Pee Bags
arned.) But there are extreme instances when recycling pee proves very practical. When the Atlantis shuttle embarks on its final mission on Friday, the astronauts involved will have a new gadget with them up in orbit. It’s a compact conversion kit that removes the impurities in urine to produce drinkable water.
The technology itself isn’t groundbreaking and the ISS has a similar machine onboard. The innovation here is it’s been shrunk to a convenient size without sacrificing its utility. Though it’s a bit far from the stillsuit found in the Dune novels, itself an object in the Dune mythology that’s somewhat influenced this particular pee pee bag, the process of converting human urine or dirty fluids to drinkable water is quite simple.
The trick is to have two small containers, one of which has a sugary-solution to filter the impurities that are channeled to it. Given time, the resulting fluid becomes 100% safe to drink.

JVC Victor Audio System is Perfect for iPhone and iPad Users
VC Victor has announced a new audio system that will work with the iPhone and iPad that will hit Japan first. The new audio system has some really cool features and comes in several colors. The device comes in two versions that share almost all the same features. The UX-VJ5 has a CD player built in and the UX-VJ3 lacks that CD player.
All the other features between the two systems are the same. Those common features include the ability to dock both the iPhone and iPad at the same time for charging. The system will play tunes from those devices and has a FM tuner integrated. The CD payer version hides the CD door behind the iPad.
The system has dual speakers each with 15W of power. Both of the products have audio inputs and video outputs to hook to your TV or larger computer screen. Another cool feature is that the VJ5 has a USB port and can rip your CDs to MP3 and shoot them to an external HDD. Pricing is unknown, but the devices will hit Japan at the end of July or beginning of August.
