Xbox 360 Automatic Disk Changer Holds 100 Games (video)

en Heck has been been busy again in his workshop and has created a fantastic automatic disk changer for the Xbox 360 that will hold up to 100 games and allow you to stay seated while you change your Xbox 360 game.

Heck has taken a multi-disc CD player and modified it to now allow Xbox 360 game to be played, the project in nearly finished and most of the wiring and programming are done. But Heck would like a user on his site to win the creation and finish it as they see fit. Watch the video after the jump to see how the new device in its current state performs.

LG DX2000 Glasses Free 3D 20 Inch Monitor

LG has today released details of its latest glassess free 3D monitor in the form of the LG DX2000 a 20 inch backlight monitor with a 1600 x 900 resolution and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, together with a 5ms refresh rate.

The new LG DX2000 is equipped with a integral web camera and uses LG’s Eye Tracking technology to provide the optimal 3D experience when viewing 3D images from any angle to help reduce user fatigue and also provide the best 3D experience possible.

The LG DX2000 also comes with 2D to 3D conversion software allowing you to convert already existing 2D movies and photographs to 3D. The LG DX2000 will soon be available in the Korean market for around $1210.

Windows 8 Will Feature Support For Xbox 360 Games On Your PC

We are expecting Microsoft to launch Windows 8 before the end of next year, and have already seen many of the features in Windows 8, now there is a rumor that Windows 8 will offer support for Xbox 360 games on your PC.

The news comes from Insideris, who are citing anonymous sources, and the rumor suggests that you will be able to play Xbox 360 games on your PC, to do this you will apparently need a subscription to Xbox Live.

The service is also reported to run on a different network to Xbox Live on the Xbox 360, and wont allow cross platform play between the Xbox 360 and the PC.

Nyko Zoom for Kinect to hit Stores August 23

You might recall us talking about the Nyko Zoom for Kinect last month. The thing broke cover at E3 and promises to make it easier to play your Kinect games on the Xbox 360 in smaller rooms. The Zoom for Kinect is a clip on lens system.

The lens system zooms in on the user and allows the gamer to play with only about four feet of space. By default, the Kinect needs the user about eight feet from the sensors. I can tell you if you are closer than that the minimum distance, the odds of things working smoothly are slim.

We already knew most of the details on the Zoom for Kinect this side of the launch date. Nyko has announced that the Zoom for Kinect will launch on August 23. The device will sell for $29.99 and should make many fans of the Kinect that don’t use it much because of the accuracy issues in small spaces very happy.

Apple Patent Details File Sharing Between Devices By “Pouring” Content

A new Apple Patent discovered by the Patently Apple website has unveiled a new method of sharing data between devices Apple has been working on that allows user to “pour” data from one device to another.

As expected from Apple its not going to just allow you to slide or bump devices together to transfer photos or data but is looking at something more funkier. As you can see from the image below the Patent covers a method of data transfer that uses the accelerometer and a pouring motion to tip images into one device from another as if under the influence of gravity.

Apple’s patent FIG. 1B illustrates an iPhone (device 110) in motion relative to the iPad (device 120). Here, the user has rotated their iPhone above the iPad’s interface (122) in a manner similar to tipping a glass of water. This angular motion can be detected by one or more onboard motion sensors.

As shown in FIG. 1B, detached objects 114a-114d could be animated to simulate the effect of gravity by “sliding” toward the lowermost portion of interface 112 as device 110 is rotated. The animation of the objects creates the appearance that the objects have mass and are reacting to forces of a real world, physical environment. In FIG. 1C, we see that the iPad could interpret the rotation of the iPhone as a pouring motion as an indication of the user’s intent to transfer the files represented by selected objects 114a-114d.

As with all Patents the registering of one doesn’t necessarily mean a company will actually adopt thedesign or concept into their products.But its interesting and refreshing to see Apple is still thinking out of the box when it comes to next generation features.

iPhone 4 Gaming Add On Looks Awesome

We have featured a number of different gadgets that can be added on to your iPhone or iPad to give you some extra controls whilst playing your favourite game, the latest one is from designer Alan Li and it is the coolest one we have seen so far.

As you can see from the photos it is basically a case for the iPhone 4 that adds some gaming controls as well as a built in speaker, have a look  at the photos below.

This looks like a great concept, and we hope some manufacturer picks Alan’s design up and puts it into production, as it looks like it would be an awesoke accessory for iPhone gaming.

Why choose the Android tablet PCs right now?

Following on from yesterdays news about the proposed new Apple iPhone that will be arriving in 2012. A new report published by the WSJ has revealed that Apple is currently looking at new ways to charge its six generation iPhone without the need for cables.

Its still unclear as to what method of iPhone charging Apple is working on, but induction charging might be a preferred way, allowing you to place your iPhone on a charging pad to top up your battery. This new method of charging and Apple’s new cloud storage might see the end of sync cables and docks.

Investors expect a bigger boost to Apple’s phone business next year. People briefed on Apple’s plans said the company is planning a major iPhone revamp then, with one person saying the company has been experimenting with features such as a new way of charging the phone.

3G Asus Eee Pad Transformer To Cost 499 Euros

It looks like the new 3G version of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer will go on sale in August, and Asus have updated their Italian website with details of the the 3G version including the pricing.

There will be two different 3G versions of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer available, with the 16GB version retailing 499 Euros and the 32GB version retail for 599 Euros, and both versions will go on sale in Europe in August.

Other specifications on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer include Android Honeycomb as its OS, a 10.1 inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer also comes with a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front for video chat and a 5 megapixel camera on the back, plus HDMI, a microSD card slot, USB 2.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR.
