Google Launches Google+ iPhone App

Google’s new social network, Google+ has already become popular with more than 10 million users announced at the end of last week, they already have a Google+ Android app and now Google has released an iPhone app, that we heard about recently.

The Google+ iPhone app works with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4, and it works in a similar way to the Android version that we mentioned previously.

Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they’re checking in.

The Google+ iPhone app is available as a free download from the iOS App store.

Adobe Acquires EchoSign For New Digital Document Signature Service

Today Adobe has announced the acquisition of digital signature service EchoSign, which currently supports more than three million users worldwide. The digital signature service will be added to Adobe’s online document exchange and integrated into other Adobe document services to reduce the the time and costs involved with documents being signed via traditional methods, such as fax and overnight envelopes.

The EchoSign service provides a cloud based service where agreements can be signed through a simple digital service, with just one click the service automates the entire signature process from request to the distribution of the signed agreement or document.

Kevin M. Lynch, vice president and general manager of Acrobat Solutions explains:

“By adding electronic signature capabilities to Adobe’s document exchange services platform, we will be addressing the need to provide better customer experiences by significantly reducing the time, cost and complexity associated with having a document signed.”

EA Sports Brings 300 Jobs To Austin

EA? This right here, you need to do it more often. You and every other major publisher. Finally, some news about industry employment that we can report on without it driving us to drink. “We’re going to be adding 300 jobs to our operations here in Austin,” according to EA’s Frank Gibeau.

Of course, the industry is still a couple of thousand jobs down and studio closures keep coming, but it’s still heartening to see the tide reverse itself occasionally. ”I think we’ll probably start this first year somewhere around 30-35, just to get the team up and moving, just so they can start building features and working on HD platform development,” says EA Sports COO Daryl Holt.

Assassin’s Creed For Wii U Not Revelations

Nintendo fans rejoicing at the thought that the Nintendo Wii U might finally mean a Nintendo console that welcomes third party blockbusters in lockstep with competing consoles might want to reel it in. The Wii version of Assassin’s Creed, for instance, is not going to be the Xbox360/PS3 Revelations with tablet support slapped on. Or without tablet support, for that matter.

“Our next edition of Assassin’s will be in a Wii U version,” according to Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot, interviewed by Aftonbladet, a Swedish website.

“Assassin’s Creed: Revelations?”

“No, not Revelations. For the future.”

“So it’s Assassin’s Creed III? Or is it something else?

“I can’t tell you that.”

So, you could call the Wii U game the Desmond and Revelations the Altair/Enzo of the franchise in a sense. Which isn’t really boding that well for it, to be honest.

AMD Says Xbox 720 Graphics Will Look Like Cameron’s Avatar

It’s that time of the home console life cycle, folks. We’ve already seen the first contender unveiled, now all manner of baseless conjecture about the next two ones is going to be rolling downhill, as these things will. It doesn’t help that one of the peddlers of the tidbits of non-news is AMD, who in a bid to raise its flagging profile has come out with the following scintillating scoops.

It turns out he Xbox 3 will sport Avatar-level graphics and new AI routines will enable every member of a large population to have its own personality and unique traits. We just wonder how long their PR took to come up with the Avatar comparison, which is absolutely perfect in both lavishness and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Avatar, you don’t say? Whatever next, PS4 visuals that look as good as Titanic?

CNN 24 Hour iPhone News Streaming Is Now Available

There’s news happening right now, and you may be missing it. CNN is well aware of the amount of time its viewers waste on inconsequential activities like sleep and is now acting to curtail them by offering a 24-hour news stream. For now, only subscribers of AT&T, Comcast, Cox, DISH Network, Suddenlink or Verizon may tune in, however.

The other big demographic (bigger than iOS, one might argue) being left out is, of course, the Android crowd. Then again, Flash will pretty much see you through any CNN streaming cravings, so we’re pretty sure some Android users aren’t as bothered as they otherwise would be. Not to mention RIM Playbook users, whose half decent Flash implementation might even yield viewable results.

Nokia Sea Ray Windows Phone 7 Prototype Appears On Video

Last month we got our first look at Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7 smartphone which is codenamed Sea Ray, and now a new video has appeared online which shows this new Nokia Windows Phone 7 device running the RTM (release to manufacturing) version of Windows Phone 7 Mango.

As you will see in the video below the device features physical Windows Phone 7 buttons on the bottom of the display, it had been rumored that these would be removed and replace with virtual buttons.

We still don’t have an exact launch date for Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7 handset, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.

Tokyoflash Right Angle LCD Watch Concept

We have featured quite a few different watch concepts from the guys over at Tokyoflash, the last onewhich was designed by one if their fans has actually made it into production, so we will probably see this new concept design become a reality at some point in the future.

The latest watch concept from Tokyoflash is called the Right Angle LCD watch, and as usual with all their watches it takes a bit of brain power to work out what time the watch is displaying.

Looking at this watch design face on, you might be fooled into thinking that the LCD display is simply made up of cryptic lines and blocks. Once you’ve cracked it however, the time is as easy to read as any other digital watch. Just flick your wrist to change the angle and reading the numbers will become clear.

The time is shown digitally; Hours-Minutes-Seconds-Milliseconds, but the layout of the numbers on the display is stretched so as to distort the image. Like a secret code, only you will know how to read it. In the example below the time is 06:24:38:29.

Zynga Accused Of Stealing Farmville Source Code From Competitor

Zynga the company behind the hugely popular Facebook game Farmville has been accused by games development company SocialApps of stealing source code and using it to create Zynga’s blockbuster game Farmville together with other games within the Zynga portfolio.

SocialApps claims that it entered into an agreement with Zynga during 2009 to develop a farming game, based on its existing Facebook title myFarm. SocialApps says that the two companies entered into an agreement which then allowed Zynga to get its hand s on the source code, after which it Zynga servered ties with SocialApps and created Farmville.

SocialApps is accusing Zynga of stealing the code and not crediting them or paying them for. SocialApps is now looking for a $100,000 as well as a percentage of the revenue earned by Zynga for its Farmville game together with other games SocialApps say uses their code as well. Such as FrontierVille, CityVille and FishVille.

Kinect Used To Create Lightsaber Battling Robot Arm (video)

If you need to brush up on your Lightsaber skills this new battling Lightsaber wielding robot arm created by researches at Stanford University might be the perfect practice opponent.

The team have used a Microsoft Kinect motion controller to help the robot determine where its opponents Lightsaber is, enabling it to decide on the best tactic to use , whether that be a defensive stance or an all out attack. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

The new robot arm has been nicknamed the “JediBot” and although a little slow at the moment, I am sure with a beefier processor and a few upgrades it will not be long before it becomes a formidable foe to spar against.
